Free Online QR Code Generator
Create custom QR codes instantly for URLs, plain text, email, SMS, Wi-Fi networks, contact cards (vCards), and cryptocurrency payment requests. All processing happens in your browser with no data uploaded to any server.
Supported QR Code Types
- URL: Link to any website. Scanning opens the URL directly in the user's browser.
- Text: Encode any plain text message, note, or instruction.
- Email: Pre-compose an email with recipient, subject, and body text.
- SMS: Create a text message with a phone number and pre-written message.
- Wi-Fi: Share network credentials (SSID, password, encryption type) for instant connection.
- Contact (vCard): Encode a full digital business card with name, phone, email, company, title, and website.
- Cryptocurrency: Generate payment requests for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Monero.
Customization Options
Choose from six module shapes, including circle QR codes made of round dots, rounded squares, and classy styles, and match the corner squares to fit. Fill your code with a single color or a linear or radial gradient between two colors. Fine-tune size from 100px to 1000px, adjust error correction, set a background color, and add a logo or image overlay. Download as PNG for digital use or SVG for professional printing at any size.
Every Code Is Scan-Verified
Styled QR codes look great, but heavy styling, low contrast, or a large logo can make them unreliable. After each code is generated, this tool decodes its own output right in your browser and shows a verification badge. If a design cannot be read, error correction is raised automatically and the code is checked again, so you never download a QR code that will not scan.
Best Practices for QR Codes
- Use high contrast colors (dark foreground on light background)
- Set error correction to "Quartile" or "High" when adding logos
- Use SVG format for print materials that need to scale
- Keep encoded data concise for faster scanning
- Always test your QR code with multiple devices before distributing
