QRCodeGadget.com provides free, browser-based QR code tools designed for speed, simplicity, and privacy. Every tool on this site was built to solve real problems we encountered ourselves — bloated scanning apps, privacy-invasive online generators, and decoders that require server uploads.

Why We Built This

Most QR code tools available online fall into one of two categories: native apps packed with ads and unnecessary permissions, or web tools that silently upload your data to remote servers. We believed there was a better way.

By leveraging modern browser APIs and client-side JavaScript, we built a complete QR code toolkit that processes everything locally on your device. No images are uploaded, no text is transmitted, and no personal data is collected. The result is a set of tools that are faster, more private, and more reliable than most alternatives.

QR Code Scanner

A real-time camera-based QR code reader that works directly in your browser. Features include camera switching, flashlight toggle, and automatic URL detection — all without installing an app.

QR Code Decoder

Upload, drag-and-drop, or paste any image containing a QR code to extract its contents. Our multi-pass detection algorithm analyzes images at multiple scales and contrast levels for industry-leading accuracy.

QR Code Generator

Create custom QR codes for URLs, text, email, SMS, Wi-Fi, contacts, and cryptocurrency. Customize colors, sizes, error correction levels, and add logo overlays. Download as PNG or SVG.

Privacy First

Privacy is not a feature we added — it's the foundation everything is built on. All tools run entirely in your browser using client-side processing. We do not collect, store, or transmit any user data. We use privacy-respecting analytics (Plausible) to understand traffic patterns without tracking individual users.

Open Standards

Our QR codes comply with the ISO/IEC 18004:2015 standard and are compatible with all QR code readers worldwide. We use well-maintained, open-source JavaScript libraries for QR code generation and detection.
